Annandale and Jefferson Athletes Named All-Met
The athletes who made the cut participate in track and field, rowing and soccer.
The Washington Post has released its 2012 Spring All-Met picks and selected three Annandale High School and four Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology for honors in track and field, rowing and soccer.
AHS senior Ahmed Bile was named First Team All-Met for boys' Track and Field and junior Alex Ellison received an honorable mention. The Post named Bile athlete of the year for boys' cross country last fall. Senior Micaela Filsoof received an honorable mention for girls' soccer.
Thomas Jefferson junior Emory Ruscus was named First Team All-Met in boys' rowing. Senior Collen Maher was also named First Team All-Met in girls' rowing and Maher's classmate senior Erin Slaterly received an honorable mention.
Senior Alex Park also received an honorable mention for boys' soccer.
