Annandale Goodwill Store to Host Grand Opening Saturday

The Annandale location, which opened last month, is the organization's 14th retail store and donation center.

The new Annandale Goodwill store is set to celebrate its new home at 7031 Columbia Pike near Jukebox Diner with a grand opening celebration on Saturday.

The event, which is open to the public, begins at 10 a.m. and lasts until Noon. There will also be a ribbon cutting. Catherine Meloy, President & CEO of Goodwill of Greater Washington and Tony Pica, Northern Virginia Market President for Capital One Bank are expected to attend.

The store is also offering customers 25 percent off all donated clothing to celebrate the grand opening.

Goodwill announced its move to Annandale in December. The store officially opened on Jan. 26.

The Annandale location is the organization's 14th retail store and donation center. The store replaces the former RoomStore, which closed after the company filed for bankruptcy in December 2011. The space was vacant for almost a year prior to Goodwill moving in.
