The Friends of George Mason Regional Library sponsors many popular kids programs at the library over the summer, including a puppet show by Blue Sky Puppet Theatre and a performance by Tracey Eldridge.

The Spotlight by Starlight series brought the Wil Gravatt Band to Mason District Park on Friday, and though the show was cut short because of lightning, the audience enjoyed some great country music for 45 minutes. The most popular show at the park has traditionally been the Capitol Steps, and Sunday's performance was no different. Mason District Supervisor Penny Gross estimated that there were 600 people in the audience. The beautiful weather Wednesday evening was perfect for listening to the gypsy jazz sounds of Le Hotclub.
