The Fairfax Harley Owners Group (HOG) gave a talk about motorcycle safety and let kids and adults get a close look at their motorcycles in the George Mason Regional Library parking lot.

The Shepherd's Center of Annandale-Springfield Lunch N' Life attendees gathered at United Baptist Church to hear a talk from Ruth Benker, a volunteer from Fairfax Pets on Wheels. Benker's dog, Teddy, delighted everyone as he circled the room to give 'high fives'.

Members of the Fairfax Harley Owners Group spoke to a group of children at George Mason Regional Library about motorcycle safety. After the talk everyone went into the parking lot to get a close look at the motorcycles. Many kids and even a few adults climbed on the motorcycles, tried on helmets and tried out the horns.

As summer comes to an end, so does the Spotlight by Starlight concert series at Mason District Park. Questionable weather canceled Sunday's concert, but the amphitheater was filled with music by Afro Bop Alliance for the final Wednesday concert of 2012.
