Carol Wilhite to Replace Gun Lee as Mason District Station Commander
Wilhite is a 20-plus year veteran with the department. Her first day is Friday.
Lt. Carol Wilhite, assistant commander of the Fair Oaks District Station of the Fairfax County Police Department, will replace Capt. Gun Lee as commander of the Mason District Station.
Lee told residents at Tuesday night’s Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting at the Mason District Governmental Center in Annandale that Wilhite’s first day is Friday, March 9. Lee is moving to the Major Crimes division of the Fairfax County Investigation Bureau, which is based out of the department’s building in Fairfax.
Wilhite, who will be promoted to captain with her new position, is a 20-plus year veteran with the department.
“She’s going to be wonderful,” said Lee. “She will be a great leader.”
Lee succeeded Maj. Ted Arnn in 2011 as commander when Arnn was promoted. He served as the station’s assistant commander under Arnn for a year prior to his promotion.
