FCPS Seeks Community Feedback on Student Discipline
The final dialogue meeting closest to Annandale will be later this month at Falls Church High School.
Annandale area parents concerned about student discipline will want to attend a meeting on the topic scheduled for later this month.
Earlier this week, meetings were held at Stuart, Westfield, and McLean High School. The final dialogue meeting closest to Annandale will be Saturday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. at Falls Church High School in the Little Theatre.
Employees, parents, and community members are invited to participate in Community Dialogues on Student Discipline, hosted by the Ad Hoc Community Committee on Student Rights and Responsibilities, part of the Fairfax County Council of PTAs.
The council hopes to obtain input and feedback on current Fairfax County Public School disciplinary practices and discuss the committee's preliminary recommendations to the School Board for changes to the Student Rights and Responsibilities handbook, according to an e-newsletter from the group that was sent out Tuesday.
The meeting is open to anyone. Registration is not required but will help in planning the meetings. Click here to register https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CommunityDialogue.
Anyone who is not able to attend a meeting is welcome to send their comments by Feb. 13 to Community_Dialogues@fcps.edu or mail their comments to:
