New West Annandale CVS Will Open in September

Residents who live in West Annandale or regularly travel down Little River Turnpike (Route 236) will have noticed some construction between Woodburn Road and Prosperity Avenue where a new CVS will open this fall.
Construction on the CVS started earlier this year. According to Mike DeAngelis, director of public relations for CVS, the store will be a free standing, full-service CVS that will include a drive-thru and a 24-hour pharmacy.
The store's address is 3921 Prosperity Ave., Fairfax, Va.
Annandale already has two CVS stores: one at 7205 Little River Tpke and the other in the Heritage Shopping Center at 7859 Heritage Dr.
This will be the second new drugstore opening in the Annandale area this year. It was announced back in March that a Walgreens would open on the property formerly occupied by Fuddruckers, which closed at the end of April.

Per square mile we have to have the most Korean stores, Animal hospitals and now Drug stores in the country. We have plenty of all three, how about we get something else. Annandale must be intentionally trying for some kind of record.

couldn't agree more. Downtown Annandale is an eyesore, especially the Giant complex on 236 @ Bradlick. It's a hodgepodge of ugliness.i guess the landlords are only interested in collecting rent rather than approving their properties. Ive been in Annandale since 1976 and Ive never seen a paint brush taken to any property. What happened to the motel that was going to be built in downtown Annnandale? The whole place needs to be.bulldozed
