Now Open: IMM Thai Restaurant

The family-owned restaurant opened on Columbia Pike back in early October.

A new Annandale restaurant is serving up Thai cuisine just off of Columbia Pike.

IMM, located at 7203 Columbia Pike near Joseph's Coat and Giant, is a family-owned and operated dine-in and take-out restaurant. According to manager Aum Kettutat, IMM opened on Oct. 9.

Kettutat described the food as simple and flavorful, adding that in addition to Thai street food, IMM serves Thai fusion or Thai-inspired dishes. The restaurant seats abut 30 people and has both lunch and dinner specials. The price varies depending on the meal, but costs range between $6 and $14.

Diners can choose from options like soup and salad to fried rice and noodles, starters like IMM’s chicken curry puff which is pastry stuffed with chicken, potatoes, carrots and onions seasoned with karri powder or Todd Mun Pla (fish cake), and popular entrée dishes such as Panang Curry or chef’s specialties such as duck with basil.

The restaurant does not currently serve alcohol, but Kettutat said they have applied for their Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) license and hope to have it approved soon.
