Visions for Vacancies: Sunset Grille

What would you like to see at the former neighborhood inland beach bar?

Last week, suggestions for the former Hallmark store received 65 votes and 24 comments.

Since Sunset Grille closed last week (to the disappointment of Grillbillies everywhere), we've chosen the former music venue and bar located at 7250 Columbia Pike for this week's Visions for Vacancies.

The property is owned by Burke & Herbert Bank. Due to policy restrictions, the bank would not disclose whether the property has already been sold now that Sunset Grille is closed.

So what would you like to see at this property? What kind of business do you think would best serve the community's needs and fit in with the existing stores along Columbia Pike?

Take our poll or tell us in the comments!

The Independence Club is currently located in Springfield, VA and is looking for a larger location and think this would be perfect for them

It has the look and feel of a good seafood restaurant or a Caribbean themed restaurant for the whole family.

I'd love to see family friendly American-fare (burgers, etc) place. Hate having to leave Annandale for a reasonably priced dinner with the kids that isn't fast food.

I like to see the entire little block torn down, and build one nice establishment, such as a restaurant, not Korean. A Italian restaurant!!! There is not much parking so some room should be made for additional parking.

If anything goes in there, the place has to be brought up to code. That's too expensive for anyone to do!
