Weekly Crime Report: Falls Church Woman Charged with Assaulting an Officer

The following items are from recent police updates through Feb. 20 from the Franconia, West Springfield and Mason police districts of the Fairfax County Police Department.
Assault (green on map), 12:35 p.m., Feb. 16, 7000 block of Little River Turnpike, Officers were called for a woman being disorderly. When they placed her under arrest she allegedly kicked the officers. Anh Du, 39, of Falls Church, was charged with disorderly conduct and two counts of assault on a police officer.
In separate and unrelated incidents:
Burglary (blue on map), 8:25 p.m., Feb. 18, 4600 block of Merritt Road, A resident reported someone entered the home and stole a laptop computer. Forced entry was made through a kitchen window.
Burglary (blue on map), 9 p.m., Feb. 15, 4600 block of John Tyler Court, A resident reported someone entered the home and stole jewelry. There were no signs of forced entry.
Contribute to Delinquency (pink on map), 5 p.m., Feb. 20, 7100 block of Beverly Street, A resident reported he found a man with his own 10-year-old daughter inside the home. Carlos Pena, 37, of Annandale, was charged with drunk in public and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The girl was reunited with her mother.

- 7000 block of Bradley Circle, wedding band from residence
- 6100 block of Little River Turnpike, merchandise from business
- 7400 block of Little River Turnpike, case of beer from business
- 4200 block of Wadsworth Court, tools from vehicle
- 7000 block of Cindy Lane, cell phone from school
Vehicle Thefts (purple on map):
- 3300 block of Woodburn Road, 1996 Acura Integra
