  \nFairfax Partnership for Youth Launches Bullying Prevention Training P
 rogram\nFairfax Partnership for Youth\, Inc. will launch its new communi
 ty-based program\, Bully-Free NoVa: A Community of Respect. The launch r
 eception will take place on November 13\, 2012\, at the James Lee Commun
 ity Center\, 2855 Annandale Road #101\, Falls Church\, VA 22042\, from 5
 :00 p.m. &ndash\; 6:30 p.m.\nFPY&rsquo\;s bullying prevention training t
 eam will provide an overview of the new bullying awareness and preventio
 n program. All community supporters of the anti-bullying movement should
  attend this free event.\nYouth report that they are bullying and being 
 bullied now more than ever before. All youth are vulnerable\, but those 
 with special needs\, racial/ethnic minorities\, and LGBT youth are at ev
 en greater risk. The social and emotional effects of chronic bullying\, 
 including cyberbullying\, can be lasting and devastating for individuals
 \, families\, and the entire community.\nPeople who are bullied in the w
 orkplace have higher rates of depression\, anxiety\, low self-esteem\, h
 ealth problems\, poor job and/or school performance and suicidal thought
 s. Workplace bullying and harassment increases the work load on mental h
 ealth providers\, raises insurance rates and cost of health care\, and e
 motionally takes a toll on families\, friends\, and colleagues in the wo
 rk place.\nLaunch reception attendees will learn:\n The basics of FPY
 &rsquo\;s program approach\n How to get their community-based organiz
 ation or business involved\n How to support and be a part of this ong
