Get Ready for Peak Hurricane Season, Fall Sports Bloggers Needed

  1. There's only three weeks left until Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) return for the first day of school.

  3. In case you missed it, Mason District Park now has a food truck that will serve lunch to residents on a regular basis. The food truck is one of six food trucks currently operating through the Fairfax County Park Authority's pilot program.
  4. Are you prepared? Peak Hurricane Season is expected to start on Thursday, Aug. 15. If you don't already have all of your hurricane supplies, now might be a good time to prepare.
  5. A 27-year-old man was stabbed recently in Annandale, according to incidents in the latest crime report from the Fairfax County Police Department.
