Make Soap at Green Spring Gardens, Mad Fox Brewing Company Tours

There's plenty of local events happening in the Annandale community and nearby almost every day.

Here are five suggestions on events you can check out today (and some to look forward to over the weekend).

1. Are you a nature lover? Check out dragonflies, turtles, frogs and more at the Green Spring Gardens Family Fun: Pond Party in Alexandria on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.  The event costs $6 per person. Green Spring Gardens is located at 4603 Green Spring Rd. 
2. The Mad Fox Brewing Company in Falls Church will host a First Saturday Brewery Open House on Saturday beginning with tours around 11 a.m. Tours will also happen at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. The Mad Fox Brewing Company is located at 444 W. Broad St, Suite I In Falls Church.  
3. Ever wanted to learn how to make soap? An instructor will teach residents how to make cold process soap using all natural, botanical ingredients at Green Spring Gardens Park on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
4. Groovy Nate is coming to Burke on Saturday and he’s bringing his groovy tunes and dance moves with him to the Kings Park Library. This event is aimed at preschoolers, but is open to children of all ages. The event starts at 2:30 p.m. and is cosponsored by Annandale's Friends of George Mason Regional Library.
5. The Annandale Brass will perform at Frying Pan Farm Park in Herndon Thursday from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. as part of the Hunter Mill Nights Series. Frying Pan Park is located at 2709 West Ox Rd.,
   Herndon.
