Braddock District Council Names Best of Braddock Award Winners

All winners will be recognized at an awards picnic in July.

The Braddock District Council of Community Organizations (BDC) announced the 2013 Best of Braddock Award winners on Wednesday during their monthly meeting.

The annual awards presentation will be on July 10 at the Kings Park Library. There will be a picnic at 6 p.m. and the awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m.

The event is co-hosted by the BDC and Braddock District Supervisor John Cook office.

Outstanding Business

    The Peterson Companies for the development and management of the Fairfax
    Corner Center

Most “Can-Do” Public Employee

    Ed Richardson, Fairfax County Park Authority

Neighborhood Enhancement or Beautification

    Dave Bowden, FCPA, Craig Carinci, Storm Water Management, and all of
    the team that worked on the conversion of the Kings West Swim Club
    property from blighted property to the Rabbit Branch Park

Organization Making a Difference in the Community

    A tie between the Annandale Food Site and Friends of the Burke Centre
    Library

Special Achievement or Recognition
