Braddock Nights Concert Series Returns June 21

Bands will perform at Lake Accotink Park and Royal Lake Park this summer in Springfield and Fairfax.

The Braddock Nights summer concert series, sponsored by Braddock District Supervisor John Cook and the Friends of the Braddock Nights, returns to the area June 21.

Every Friday night, a different band will perform at either Lake Accotink Park, located at 7500 Accotink Park Rd., in Springfield or Royal Lake Park located at 5344 Gainsborough Drive in Fairfax. There are total of 22 concerts in the series. All concerts start at 7:30 p.m. and last until about 8:30 p.m.

June 21: The 9 (Folk) at Lake Accotink Park and the Night Music (Rock) at Royal Lake Park

June 28: City of Fairfax "Main Street Community Band" at Lake Accotink Park and The Hot Seats (Bluegrass) at Royal Lake Park 

July 5: Kings Park Band (Big Band) at Lake Accotink Park and Folsom Prisoners (Country) at Royal Lake Park

July 12: The Hot Society Orchestra of Washington (Swing) at Lake Accotink Park and Town Mountain (Bluegrass) at Royal Lake Park

July 19: The Capital Focus Jazz Band (Jazz) at Lake Accotink Park and Bachata-VIP (Bachata) at Royal Lake Park

July 26: The NOVA Annandale Symphony Orchestra (Pop) at Lake Accotink Park and Tom Principato (Blues) at Royal Lake Park

Aug. 2: Alt Washingtonia (Bavarian) at Lake Accotink Park and Mariachi Los Amigos (Mariachi) at Royal Lake Park

Aug. 9: Washington Balalaika Orchestra (Russian) at Lake Accotink Park and The David Kitchen Band (Pop/Rock) at Royal Lake Park

Aug. 16: Falls Church Concert Band (Big Band) at Lake Accotink Park and IONA (Celtic) at Royal Lake Park

Aug. 23: The United States Army Blues (Jazz) at Lake Accotink Park and Shenandoah Run (Folk) at Royal Lake Park

Aug. 30: City of Fairfax Band "Alte Kameradeen German Band" (German) at Lake Accotink Park and Bruce Molsky and The Jumpsteady Boys (Old-time) at Royal Lake Park
