Children’s Magic Show Coming to Greater Annandale Area

Proceeds will benefit charity.

It’s not only the time of year for turkeys. It’s also the time of the year for pulling rabbits out of hats and other magic tricks as a part of a children’s holiday magic show Dec. 5 at Bishop Ireton High School.

The magic show runs from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at the school, located at 201 Cambridge Road. Admission is free with the donation of a new toy or canned food items. The show is sponsored by the Ring 50 of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

The show will feature magicians TEO, the Amazing Kevin, Professor Fizzwiffle and Louis the Magician. Donations will be directed to Alexandria Citadel of the Salvation Army, said Danny Selnick, president of Ring 50, as a way to give back to the community.

“They all do kids’ magic in part, but with a variety of styles and magic,” Selnick said. “… They all have different routines that are geared to young children and to bring some magic to the holiday season.”

The show is geared toward children 4 through 12, although older children and adults can still enjoy the performance, Selnick said.

“Magic is still alive, and with the holidays it seems a more magical time of the year, especially when we can bring joy to those who are less fortunate than us,” he said.
