If you've been patiently waiting for those bright yellow fireworks stands to open, you're in luck: the pop-up shops are now open for the season in Annandale.
There are two fireworks location stands in Annandale: in the Bradlick Shopping Center off of Braddock Road and Backlick Road between the Starbucks and the McDonald's and right off of Little River Turnpike near Kmart and the Shell gas station.
The hours of operation for each stand could vary, but an employee at the Bradlick Shopping Center location said most are open between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. daily.
The Bradlick location is open Monday through Friday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays. On July 2, the fireworks stand will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. On July 3, their hours change to 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. They're open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on July 4 and go back to 9 a.m. to 109 p.m. hours of operation on July 5-6.
If there is still stock left to sell, the stand will be open on July 7-8 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. If they run out of fireworks by July 5th, the stand will close early.
Prices for fireworks can cost as low as $4.25 for a Lil' Patriot firework and range from $17.99 for a bargain bag to as much as $139.99 for a pyromaniac bag. Certain fireworks like the Lil' Patriot are buy one, get one free.
The stands receive new stock every day, so if you don't see the fireworks you want the day you stop by, there's a good chance they'll have it the next day.
