2. Kix (band)
Where/When: Jaxx Nightclub - 6355 Rolling Road, Springfield/Friday, Mar. 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Mar. 12 at 7 p.m.
Why Go: Kix is an American hard rock/heavy metal band that became popular in the late 1980’s with hits like “Love at First Sight” and “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah”. Since this band is originally from Maryland they have added a second show to accommodate all of their fans. This show is 21 and up.

3. Jimmy Lange vs. Jimmy “The Fighting School Teacher” Holmes
Where/When: George Mason University- Patriot Center, 4400 University Drive, Fairfax/Saturday, Mar. 12, 7 p.m.
Why Go: This is the biggest boxing show in the Washington DC area. In addition to the title fight Fairfax native and undefeated welterweight Todd “White Lightning” Wilson will take a break from biz development at Booz Allen Hamilton to square off in the ring on Saturday.

4. Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra: Met Jazz Goes Latin
Where/When: Center for the Arts at George Mason University, 4400 University Drive, Fairfax /Saturday, Mar. 12, 8 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy a night of classic jazz and Latin beats performed by outstanding local musicians.
Pricing: $40, $32, $20, limited student tickets available

5. The Red Chord
Where/When: Jaxx Nightclub - 6355 Rolling Road, Springfield/Sunday, Mar. 13, Doors open at 5 p.m. the show starts at 5:15 p.m.
Why Go: The Red Chord helped pioneer the “deathcore” genre and has toured all over North America and Europe.
