2. Aquila Theatre – Six Characters in search of an Author
Where/When: Center for the Arts at George Mason University, 4400 University Dr. in Fairfax, Friday Feb. 11 - starting at 8 p.m.
Why Go: This amazing touring company returns to George mason to perform Nobel Laureate Luigi Pirandello’s work that was originally performed in 1921. The play follows six nameless “unrealized” characters searching for the author that left them with an unfinished story line. This play has a long history but its theme is current.

3. W Salon
Where/When: Burke Centre Town Center 6025G Burke Center Pkwy in Burke, Saturday, Feb. 12, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

4. Outerloop Presents Valentine’s Day Massacre
Where/When: Jaxx Nightclub - 6355 Rolling Road in Springfield, Saturday Feb. 12th - Doors open at 3 p.m.
Why Go: Catch Dying Fetus at their last local show before they go on their European tour. They will be sharing the stage on Saturday with Resurgency, Spellborne, Serial Audiophile and Anarch.
Pricing: $13 in advance, $15 day of the show
5. The Vagina Monologues
Where/When: Center for the Arts at George Mason University, 4400 University Dr. in Fairfax, Saturday Feb. 12 – 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Why Go: These performances of The Vagina Monologues are part of the 2011 V-Day initiative . V-Day is a global movement to end violence against women and girls that raises funds and awareness through benefit productions of Playwright/Founder Eve Ensler. This year the V-Day’s Spotlight Campaign will be on the Women and Girls of Haiti and the increased danger the woman of Haiti face after the 2010 earthquake. Actors and audience members will embark on a journey and discover what it means for women to inhabit their bodies, to love their bodies, and to take a stand to stop violence.
