Police Release Photo of Alleged Library Attacker

Fairfax County police are still looking for the man who allegedly attacked a woman in a Falls Church library.

Fairfax County police have released a photo of the man they believe attacked a teenage woman in a Falls Church library on Nov. 6.

Lucy Caldwell, a public information officer for the police department, said officers walked the Falls Church area surrounding the Thomas Jefferson Library Wednesday night handing out flyers in both English and Spanish.

Police believe the man in the photo is the alleged suspect who attacked a 17-year-old woman in the library’s bathroom.

The man allegedly watched the woman study at the library and when she ducked into the bathroom to get away from the man, he allegedly followed her in and assaulted her before she kicked him and screamed, police said. The man reportedly then ran off and library staff called the police.

Police believe the alleged suspect is a black man with a medium brown complexion, standing between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10. Police said the man weighs between 160 and 180 pounds.
