After months of construction, opened its Annandale location at 7209 Little River Turnpike on Saturday, July 16 with a celebration that featured an appearance from a D.C. United Major League Soccer player, community and Fairfax County officials, as well as dozens of residents and their families.
The grand opening event began at 10 a.m. and continued throughout much of the afternoon. It featured a performance by a group of Korean drummers before the ribbon-cutting ceremony, a DJ that played hits from The Beatles to Justin Timberlake, free hot dogs, drinks and ice cream, giveaways and raffles, and free printouts of the mural of Annandale painted inside the bank of the Annandale Days Parade on Little River Turnpike from 1962.
Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Sharon Bulova, members of the Annandale Central Business District Planning Committee including Dan McKinnon, Helen Winter, and Gregory McGillicuddy, as well as members of the Annandale Volunteer Fire Department including Chief Roger Waller and President Raju Khemani participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“I’ve never attended an opening as special as this,” said Bulova during her remarks as she congratulated Annandale Store Manager James Min and TD Bank on the bank’s opening. Min said he thought the opening was successful and that there were people lined up outside an hour before the doors opened on Saturday
Members of the Mason District Little League and the Annandale-North Springfield Little League also presented Min with “thank you” plaques for TD Bank’s sponsorship of the teams. D.C. United defender Devon McTavish also attended the grand opening and signed autographs and took photos with residents.

During the ceremony, Min also presented checks for $2,500 to the (ACCA) and the during the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The Annandale location will target and is one of four environmentally friendly locations TD Bank is opening in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
