Virginia Democratic Primary 2013: How Annandale Voted
A look at how candidates fared at Annandale precincts.
Virginians selected State Sen. Ralph Northam (D-Norfolk) as their pick for lieutenant governor and Sen. Mark Herring for attorney general during the Democratic Primary Election Tuesday.
The senators will join gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe on the Democratic ticket in November.
In the Annandale-area, Northam won 10 out of 14 precincts while Aneesh Chopra, his opponent, won only three precincts. They tied for precinct 519 Hummer at 36 votes each. However, voter turnout on Tuesday was slow and neither candidate reached 100 total votes (although some precincts came close).

Herring's opponent Justin Fairfax won the most Annandale precincts, taking nine out of 14 precincts over Herring, who won four precincts.
