Virginia Secretary of Transportation to Speak at NVCT Breakfast Tomorrow

Sean Connaughton is the keynote speaker for the 11th annual breakfast for the Annandale based non-profit.

Virginia Secretary of Transportation Sean Connaughton has been selected as the keynote speaker for the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust (NVCT) 11th Annual Conservation Breakfast on Wednesday, Jan. 4.

According to a press release, this year's breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center located at 5000 Seminary Road in Alexandria.

The Annandale-based non-profit will present three awards. Hon. David G. Speck will receive the Alexandria Conservationist of the Year for his work with the Alexandria’s Open Space Trust Fund. The Fairfax Conservationist of the Year award goes to Adrienne Stefan for preserving her home, the Historic Oakton Trolley Station. The Long Bridge Park Design Advisory Committee and Chairman Toby Smith are the receipients of this year's Arlington Conservationist of the Year award.
