Frontier Airlines offering 12-hour deal with new Dulles service announcement.
A new low-fare airline will be serving Dulles passengers to and from 14 cities, including Las Vegas and Orlando. And to kick off the announcement, Frontier Airlines is offering tickets to all 14 destinations for $15 each way, but only for tickets purchased on Tuesday, May 13, 2014.

The airline will begin service at the Washington Dulles International Airport on Aug. 19 with nonstop flights to six cities: Atlanta, Charlotte, Orlando, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Chicago-O’Hare and Tampa. More cities, including Las Vegas, will be added Sept. 8.

“The addition of Frontier to the Dulles family represents a significant, positive development for passengers interested in additional low cost, domestic travel options to and from the National Capital region,” said Jack Potter, President and CEO, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.

For the $15 sale, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time, May 13, 2014, for travel through Nov. 19, 2014. Tickets may be purchased at FlyFrontier.com.

Additional introductory fares as low as $39 will be available at FlyFrontier.com through May 17, 2014.

"With the Washington area economy growing and the Metrorail Silver Line on the way, Dulles will continue to fill the expanding air travel needs for the region and these new options from Frontier will play an important role," Potter said in a statement. "We welcome Frontier aboard.”

This is kind of misleading. The article leaves one to believe that tickets purchased today (5/13) for travel within the mentioned dates will be $15. However, based on the website that I was finally able to get to after crashing a few times. It appears that it is for specific days and by specific I found 3 days going to Orlando and 2 coming back. I'm not sure where the poor reporting occurred. My guess is this was an intentional misleading by Frontier so people would go to their site. Quite a let down.

This promotion was advertised on the news yesterday and it was mentioned that folks should hurry as seats were filling pretty quickly.. Since this is a promo, they probably only have certain amount of seats available....

It will be great to not have to travel to Baltimore to get to Vegas. Looking forward t the new airline in Virginia. I also tried to get the $15 ticket with no luck on getting to their site.
