Annandale Healthway Natural Foods Store Closes

Family-owned health foods store Healthway Natural Foods has closed after more than 30 years in Annandale.

The store closed on Aug. 24, according to a sign posted on the door that reads:
"We are closing this location on August 24th. We will continue to offer the same quality products and personal service we have provided for thirty-five years at our other locations."

At the bottom of the sign, Annandale customers are encouraged to visit other Healthway locations in Springfield, Fairfax, and Alexandria for their regular products and services.

This is the third longtime Annandale business to close in the last three months and the eighth Annandale business to close in 2013. The Annandale Sport & Health closed back in June, Anna ’N Dale’s Newsstand closed in July and Campbell & Ferrara relocated to Mount Vernon back in May.

This week, Buenos Grill announced plans to close on Friday, Aug. 30.

Healthway Natural Foods first opened in 1979, according to their website. was born. The company specializes in natural products, spices, health aids and additional health-centric products and services.
