Although the lease on their current building at 7221 Little River Tpke. is about to expire, owner Josh Perelman said the move is not due to a lease disagreement.

“We actually need more space. We've outgrown our building,” said Owner Josh Perelman. We like the location, but we need more room.”

Trophy Mart, which specializes in award plaques, engraving, crystal products and more, opened in Annandale in 1985. However, the business has been in the Washington, D.C. area since 1951.

Perelman wouldn't disclose where the store may move, but said the location they're pursuing is about three miles away.

Perelman said he’ll miss the convenience of the Annandale location, but is confident the move won’t affect the relationships Trophy Mart has with the Annandale community. Trophy Mart regularly sponsors community events hosted by , like last month’s Red and White Golf Classic, as well as events by Annandale organizations. Trophy Mart also supports the Fairfax County Police Department golf tournament, among others.

“We try and support the organizations that support us. The amount of business that we get from Annandale and the people that we know, it's a no brainer to keep supporting them,” said Perelman.

An e-mail will be sent to customers on Trophy Mart’s listserv when the new location is secured. Residents interested in keeping up with Trophy Mart can also follow their Facebook page for updates.

“We love the location, we love the schools, and we love the people. We just need extra space,” said Perelman.
