New Advance Auto Parts Store Opens in Annandale

The store, which is located in the Little River Shopping Center, is the second Advance Auto Parts location in Annandale

With help from Annandale business leaders and Mason District Supervisor Penny Gross, Advance Auto Parts celebrated the grand opening of their new store Friday with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The store, which is located at 7448 Little River Tpke. in the Little River Shopping Center, is the second Advance Auto Parts location in Annandale. The other location is at 6960-O Braddock Rd., in the Bradlick Shopping Center.

"I'm delighted to welcome a business with such a stellar reputation like Advance Auto Parts to the district," said Mason District Supervisor Penny Gross during the ceremony.

The roughly 8,000 square foot store will sell a variety of automotive care products and provide services for residents such as installing windshield wipers, battery checks and more. There are currently about 12 team members on staff, but Store Manager Ivan Madrigal said they will likely hire 3-4 more people.

Madrigal said the store received a positive and warm response from residents since doors opened at 7:30 a.m. Friday.

In addition to the ribbon cutting, Madrigal presented a JDRF representative with a check for $1,000 as part of Advance Auto Parts ongoing partnership to raise funds for JDRF's mission to find a cute for type 1 diabetes.

This is the 20th year Advance Auto Parts has raised money for JDRF. Over the last 20 years, Advance Auto Parts has raised more than $35 million for JDRF.

The money raised for JDRF comes from Advanced Auto Parts' scanable sneaker campaign. All 3,900 stores, including the Annandale locations, sell the sneaker mobiles in-store for $1, $5, $25, and $5 from Aug. 22 to Oct. 5. The mobiles are displayed in the store.

Advance Auto Parts hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
