Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA) of Alexandria and Lorton, Va. will present their annual Nutcracker performances on Sat., Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., and on Sun., Nov. 24 at 12 p.m. and
5 p.m.at the Northern Virginia Community College, Ernst Cultural Center at the Annandale Campus in Annandale, Va. Ticket prices range from $18 to $27 and can be purchased online at www.metropolitanarts.org

Ballet and Bubbly Benefit - $20 per ticket, 5 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 23 at Northern Virginia Community College, Ernst Cultural Center. A pre-performance benefit gala celebrating with fellow patrons of the arts with all proceeds going toward MSA’s Next Stage Building Campaign to develop world-class performance and educational facilities at their Alexandria and Lorton, Va. campuses; includes hors d’oeuvres, beverages and live music. Cocktail attire and ages 21 and older is recommended.

Land of Sweets Tea - $20 per ticket, 2 p.m. on Sun., Nov. 24 at Northern Virginia Community College, Ernst Cultural Center. A post- performance celebration with ballet dancers and Land of Sweets’ fare; includes live music, photos with the characters and autographs from our Virginia stars. This is a seated event, with eight per table, pre-assigned according to time of reservation and party size. Parties wishing to be seated together should contact Colleen at the Alexandria studio to make arrangements, subject to availability.

Dobbs was classically trained at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C., George Mason University and the Royal Academy of Dance in London, where she became a registered teacher.
