Local Historic Map Prints For Sale

Local artist Nathaniel Lee offers a glimpse into the area's past with his hand-drawn historic maps of the Franconia area.

Drawn by Lee using pen-and-ink, the drawings highlight both modern roadways and their relation to historic landmarks in the area.

Lee says his goal is to "help people better appreciate the history that they are driving past every day."

Eugene Scheel, a mapmaker based in Waterford, Va., served as Lee's inspiration for the map.

The map highlights nine local architecturally significant churches and historical residences and tells their stories.

Copies are currently on display at the Franconia Museum, 6121 Franconia Road.
Prints are available in borderless matte and borderless display versions.
