The special promotional event starts this weekend

The 161 cats rescued from an in November 2010 are getting their very own special adoption event beginning Saturday, Feb. 5. Hosted by the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, the event, titled “Be Mine, Feline,” will focus on cats and kittens currently available for adoption.

Each prospective adopter will have the chance to find the perfect cat for their family through the shelter’s special assessment of each cat’s personality.

“Throughout February, the shelter will be in the business of matchmaking—helping adopters match the right cat for their lifestyle and for their home,” said Dr. Karen Diviney, director of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, in a press release about the event.
