Five Things: Annandale Regional Study Vote Tonight, 14th Amendment Adopted

  1. The Fairfax County School Board will vote on the boundary changes for the Annandale Regional Study tonight around 8 p.m. View the agenda the meeting here. Annandale Patch will have a recap up Friday morning.
  2. The high temperature for the day will be around 90 degrees.
  3. On this day in history in 1868, the 14th Amendment, guaranteeing to African-Americans citizenship and all its privileges, was officially adopted into the U.S. Constitution.
  4. Robert Sarvis, who is running for the 35th District State Senate, is holding a tonight in nearby Falls Church.
  5. Fairfax County is under a heat advisory until 9 p.m tomorrow. Expect temperatures to be in the lower 90s or 100s, heat index between 105-109.
