- Today is the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Six years ago, the hurricane made landfall in New Orleans, LA as a Category 4 hurricane.
- The Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology varsity volleyball also has a home game today. They face Wakefield High School at 7:15 p.m
