Annandale Regional Study public hearing tonight, Babe Ruth made MLB debut on this day in history

  1. Tonight at 6 p.m. is the Annandale Regional Study public hearing in the auditorium at Luther Jackson Middle School in Falls Church. Annandale Patch will be liveblogging the testimonies of those scheduled to speak and will have a recap on Tuesday morning.
  2. Expect a pretty hot day ahead with the high temperature for day around 96 degrees. Very few clouds to block all the sunshine we're going to get, so break out the sunscreen.

  4. Babe Ruth made his major league baseball debut on this day in 1914. Did you know Ruth was born in Baltimore, MD and was first signed by the Baltimore Orioles before becoming the historic New York Yankees player he's known as today?
