1. National Capital Area Cake Show

Where/When: / 8333 Little River Tpke, Annandale/Saturday, Mar. 26 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, Mar. 27 from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Why Go:  There will be sugar art displays, a live cake challenge, a bake sale, hands-on classes and best of all, you'll be surrounded by cake.

Pricing: General admission is $10 or $15 for both days. Pricing for the classes and demonstrations cost separately.

2. George Mason University Dance Gala

Where/When: George Mason University Concert Hall, 4400 University Dr, Fairfax/Saturday, Mar. 26 and Sunday, Mar. 27 at 8 p.m.

3. 11th Annual NOVA International Jewish Film Festival

4. American Youth Philharmonic Orchestra

5. National Cherry Blossom Festival

Where/When: Various places in Washington, D.C./Saturday, Mar. 26

Why Go: The annual festival will feature various activities for everyone, such as a parade, parties, music, river tea tours and more. It starts this weekend on Saturday, Mar. 26.
