1. The U.S. Army Band “Blues Jazz Ensemble”
Where/When: Lake Accotink Park, 7500 Accotink Park Road, Springfield/Friday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Celebrate the United States Army’s 236th Birthday with a night of jazz. The “Blues Jazz Ensemble” started as a dance band in 1942 to entertain soldiers and civilians during World War II and they will have dancing the night away this Friday.

2. Celtibillies
Where/When: , 6621 Columbia Pike, Annandale/Friday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: The Celtibillies are a unique band that combines Celtic music with Appalachian music from the hills of southwest Virginia. Dancers from The Maple Academy of Irish Dance will be performing with the band on stage.

3. A Tribute to the King of Rock and Roll
Where/When: Royal Lake Park, 5344 Gainsborough Drive, Fairfax/Friday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Jed Duvall’s portrayal of Elvis is so uncanny he will have the audience thinking Elvis never left the building. Jed will perform as Elvis and sing the King’s songs from the 1950’s to the Vegas years.

4. Clifton Wine Festival
Where/When: Clifton’s Children’s Park, Chapel Street, Clifton/Saturday, June 18 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy a full day of wine tasting from over 20 Virginia wineries. In between wine tastings you can shop for handmade crafts from local vendors, enjoy some gourmet eats and listen to live music.

5. Japanese Cultural Heritage Night
Where/When: , 7900 Heritage Drive, Annandale/Sunday, June 19 at 7: p.m.
Why Go: Experience an ancient 500 year old Japanese folk dance that has been passed down from generation to generation. A movie on Japanese Culture will begin after dark.
