Greater Springfield Chamber Governor's Bowl Challenge Kicks Off on Memorial Day

Businesses in Greater Springfield are urged to participate in this year's challenge.

Businesses across Greater Springfield are gearing up to support the second annual Governor's Bowl Chamber of Commerce Challenge food and fund drive to benefit residents.

Chambers of commerce across the Commonwealth will compete with other chambers for the coveted Governor's Bowl. Three chamber offices and one state government office will receive a Governor’s Bowl based on the total number of pounds of food donated. Every dollar equals four pounds of food, according to the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce website.

Area businesses are challenged to be the top producing company, writes Greater Springfield Chamber executive director Nancy-jo Manney in her latest blog on Patch. 4 More Travel was last year's top producer for the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, collecting 3,261 pounds of food!
