Update: Power Restored to More Than 100 Customers in Lincolnia Following Outage

Power was out for part of the morning and early afternoon due to the storm.

Update 1:34 p.m.: According to Dominion Power, a total of 4,000 customers in Alexandria lost power due to the storm, including more than 100 in the Lincolnia area near Annandale. Dominion has since restored power to the area as of 1:30 p.m.

More than 100 customers in the Lincolnia area of Mason District just outside of Annandale are currently without power, according to the Dominion Power Interactive Outage Map.

The map viewer estimates approximately 143 customers are without power as of 11 a.m. Monday.

The cause of the outage is still under investigation, according to the map. An estimated restoration time is also unknown.

Snowfall in Fairfax County Monday morning caused closures and cancellations in Fairfax County and delayed spreak break activities at Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) for two hours. The snow is expected to mix with rain later on Monday before switching back to snow showers in the afternoon and evening. Precipitation should end late Monday night.
