1. : Fairfax County saw some snow on March 5, shutting down Fairfax County Public Schools for the day and closing government offices, libraries and more. By the next day, the majority of the snow had melted and things were back to normal.

Mason District Station Officer Injured in Collision Remains in Stable Condition: A Fairfax County police officer from the Mason District station in Annandale was involved in a fatal head-on car crash on Thursday, Feb. 28. Patch followed the officer's progress as he was hospitalized following the crash. The officer was later identified as Long 'Junior' V. Dinh (see our number seven story).
