Week in Review: Burglaries in Fairfax, School Board Adopts Budget, New Annandale Patch Features and More

A look back at some of our bigger stories of the week of Feb. 1 to Feb. 6

If you've had a busy week and haven't had a chance to check Annandale Patch much, don't fret. Here's a summary of the bigger stories on the site this week.

Fairfax County police are looking into a that have occurred in three districts which they think may be connected another serial burglar. Many of the more than a hundred cats rescued from an Annandale home on Village Drive in November 2010 are now up for adoption and the Fairfax County Shelter is hosting a for them. And in a tough game, the Annandale Atoms lost to Woodson High School in the very last seconds of the game.

On Thursday, the Fairfax County School Board that would get rid of foreign language in elementary schools for the next school year. That same night, they also that didn't receive support from all members of the board.
