Health and policy expert,
Judith Owens, internationally-recognized authority on pediatric sleep from Children's
National Medical Center (CNMC) will describe the research and neurobehavioral
and health consequences of school start times and also about the implementation
plan that they were hired by the school board to develop for FCPS. Braddock District School Board Member, Megan
McLaughlin, will also speak. This is your
opportunity for early involvement, Q and A, and a beginning to this
dialogue. Elementary School parents
should come too! Start times could change as early as Fall 2014.
