Two Defense Lawyers Speaking About Marijuana Law in Virginia

Speaker Bios:



*Brenton D.
Vincenzes is principal attorney at Vincenzes Law, PLLC,
a private northern
Virginia criminal defense firm in Fairfax County. As a lifetime resident,
community leader and active volunteer in Fairfax County, Mr. Vincenzes is a
regular speaker at the Fairfax County Public School’s alcohol and drug
diversion program; works with 5th and 6th grade students as a youth leader at Fairfax
Community Church, one of the largest in Northern Virginia; and, reserves about
10% of his time to represent those without means as a member of the Virginia
Indigent Defense Commission. As a lawyer, Brenton is a member of the American
Bar Association, Virginia State Bar, Virginia Bar Association, Fairfax Bar Association,
National Legal Aid and Defender Association, Virginia Association of Criminal
Defense Lawyers, and Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.



Brenton has a book in the works about Virginia
expungement rules and policies and the need for reform, including the
relationship between Cannabis offenses, unemployment among young adults, and
the criminal arrest record system. With a heart for the needy and a natural
passion to fight for the underdog, he is excited to be joining us. 



*David J. Dischley is an experienced trial
attorney, former prosecutor, police adviser, and U.S. Marine
. David enlisted in
the United States Marine Corps weeks after graduating from High School. David
served with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in Okinawa, Japan and, upon his
return to the states, was stationed at Quantico, Virginia. David has an
associate’s degree from Northern Virginia Community College in Administration
of Justice, a Bachelor’s degree from George Mason University, and his law
degree from George Mason’s School of Law. David has worked as a Uniformed
Protective Officer for the Department of State, as a National Repeater Control
Center Technician with XM Satellite Radio, as an Assistant Commonwealth
Attorney for Loudoun County and Fauquier County (Prosecutor), and has held
positions advising law enforcement and intelligence organizations regarding
counter narcotics operations overseas.



David has been a defense attorney for the past five
years. David continues to advise law enforcement executives by acting as the
legal advisor for a local municipal police department. Furthermore, David
provides legal services to law enforcement officers that are members of the
Southern States Patrolman Benevolent Associations. David is licensed to
practice law in all Virginia courts, including the Federal District Courts of
the Eastern and Western Districts.
