Where to Buy a Christmas Tree in Annandale This Weekend

If you were too busy recovering from Thanksgiving to pick out your Christmas tree last weekend, don't worry: there's still plenty of time to pick one and plenty of local vendors to choose from.

Here's a short list of places in Annandale and nearby Falls Church and Alexandria where you can find the perfect tree for your home this season.

Annandale Boys and Girls Club: It's not Christmas until the Annandale Boys & Girls Club (ABGC) opens up their annual Christmas tree lot. The ABGC lot is located on Lincolnia Road and Deming Avenue in Alexandria behind the Lincolnia Shopping Center and across the street from the Total Wine.

All proceeds from the tree sales goes toward supporting the youth sports at the ABGC. The ABGC Christmas tree lot is open Monday-Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Meadows Farms Nurseries Annandale Garden Center: Annandale's Meadows Farms located off of Backlick Road is selling a variety of Christmas trees including Fraser Firs, White Pines, Scotch Pines, Douglas Firs, with prices ranging from $24.99 to $149.

Virginia Christmas Tree Growers Association: For another year, the Virginia Christmas Tree Growers Association (VCTGA) and their giant inflatable Santa Claus have posted a tree lot located on Little River Turnpike and Valley Street in Alexandria near the Pinecrest Shopping Center. Once again, the lot is selling more than 10 varieties of trees ranging in height from 2-3 feet to as tall as 19 feet. Prices vary by tree type and height. The VCTGA lot is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

Falls Church High School Baseball Team Tree Sale: The Falls Church High School baseball team is selling Fraser fir Christmas trees over in the Mosaic District in Merrifield not far from Annandale. The tree sale is only on weekends from Fridays from 4-7 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 12-5 p.m. The lot is located on the corner of District Avenue and Strawberry Lane, next to Capital Teas.

JEB Stuart Athletic Boosters Tree Sale: Falls Church isn't the only high school getting into the tree-selling action. JEB Stuart High School's athletic boosters club is selling trees in the Sears parking lot on Route 7 at Seven Corners in Falls Church. The sale's hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. There are trees ranging from 6 feet to 9 feet tall for sale anywhere from $35 to $80.
