Annandale Man Bitten by Dog While Out Walking

What you should do if you are bitten by a dog or if your dog bites someone.

An Annandale man was bitten by a dog Friday afternoon while he was out walking, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police.

The incident occurred in the 4900 block of Woodland Way on Friday at about 3:20 p.m.

The man was walking when a dog bit him on the leg. The victim received a minor injury.

The dog was described as an unknown breed, all black with short hair and weighing 45 to 65 pounds. The dog was being walked by a woman described as white, in her 60s, with a medium build.

  • Call Animal Control at 703-691-2131
  • The responding officer may confine the animal
  • The responding officer may let the owner confine the animal
  • The case may be brought to court, if the dog is deemed a threat to public safety
