Update: Cause of Death, Identity of Body Found in Annandale Undetermined

Update 2:45 p.m. Friday: Fairfax County police have not been able to the identify the man found near on Thursday evening.

According to Lucy Caldwell, public information officer with the Fairfax County Police Department, an autopsy was performed by the Office of the Medical Examiner on Friday, but a cause of death has yet to be determined. So far, detectives do not suspect criminal activity.

The man is described as a white male with red hair and a red beard between the ages 20 and 40-years-old, weighing about 130 pounds and around 5 feet 11 inches tall.

A body was found in the woods near on Thursday, according to Fairfax County police.

A news release states that a man found the body while walking in the woods around 6:30 p.m. 

Police are still investigating and have not determined the sex, race or age of the deceased or the circumstances surrounding the death.
