DIRECTED PATROL, 2/28/14. Officers from the Mount Vernon Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. Three drivers were charged with DWI. Twenty summonses were issued. Also, one criminal charge was made.

PURSUIT/DWI, 1600 block of Anderson Road, 3/1/14, 2:40 a.m. On Colshire Drive, a police officer attempted to stop the driver of a Toyota Camry for suspected DWI. The driver fled to Anderson Road, where he crashed and then fled on foot from the vehicle. Utilizing the police helicopter and K-9 units, police located the suspect in the 7300 block of Dartford Drive. Matthew Dellinger, 24, of Arlington, was charged with DWI and driving on a revoked driver’s license.

DWI, 12600 block of Alder Woods Drive, 3/3/14, 2:40 p.m. A police officer stopped the driver of a vehicle going backwards on Rugby Road and subsequently arrested the driver for DWI. While being arrested, the suspect provided false information as well as kicked the door and window of the police vehicle he was in. Marc Anthony Dixon, 26, of Reston, was charged with DWI (fourth offense), refusing breath test, fraudulent information to police, destruction of county property, driving while suspended (DWI related) and improper backing on the highway.

BURGLARY, 5700 block of Valley View Drive, 3/4/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 13800 block of Braddock Road, 3/4/14. A woman was walking in a parking lot when a man exposed himself.  The suspect was described as 40’s, brown hair and about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall.
