Sully District

BURGLARY, 7100 block of Bull Run Post Office Road, 5/1/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

Mount Vernon District

BURGLARY, 2700 block of Arlington Drive, 4/27/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.


McLean District

ROBBERY, 8600 block of Westwood Center Drive, 4/25/14, 5:54 p.m. A man entered a clothes cleaning store and assaulted an employee. The suspect took cash and fled. The employee received non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was described as black, 18-20, with a thin build.


Mason District

ROBBERY, 5500 block of Leesburg Pike, 4/27/14, 9:24 p.m. A suspect entered a restaurant and displayed a gun to an employee. The suspect took cash and fled. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as a Hispanic or white woman, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 150 pounds.


Reston District

BURGLARY, 11400 block of Washington Plaza, 4/26/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.


Franconia District

BURGLARY, 7300 block of Bonniemill Lane, 4/25/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.


Fair Oaks District

ASSAULT ON POLICE/DRUNK IN PUBLIC, 13900 block of Metrotech Drive, 4/26/14, 2:02 a.m. Police were called to a local restaurant for an individual acting drunk and disorderly.  Police located the suspect and took her into custody. While at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, the suspect assaulted an officer several times. Melody M. Bailey, 45, of Chantilly was charged with assault on police and drunk in public.


Animal Control Division

ANIMAL BITE, 4900 Woodland Way, 4/25/14, 3:20 p.m. A man was walking when a dog bit him on the leg. The victim received a minor injury. The dog was described as an unknown breed, all black with short hair and weighing 45 to 65 pounds. The dog was being walked by a woman described as white, 60s, with a medium build.

ANIMAL BITE, 5400 block of Earps Corner Place, 4/26/14, 3:15 p.m. A juvenile male was walking on the sidewalk when a “labra doodle” dog bit the boy on the leg. The victim received a minor injury. The dog was routinely quarantined.

ANIMAL/RABIES, 500 block of Seneca Green Way, 4/27/14, 7:50 p.m. An Animal Control Officer was called for a report of a dead raccoon with a dog. The officer collected the raccoon, which subsequently tested positive for rabies. The dog was current on its rabies vaccination.

ANIMAL BITE, Library Street/Market Street, 4/27/14, 6:25 p.m. An adult female was walking when a Doberman dog bit the boy on the leg. The victim received a minor injury. The dog was routinely quarantined.
