Crime Report: Cash Reported Stolen from Annandale Home

The latest incidents reported to the West Springfield, Franconia, and Mason District Stations of the Fairfax County Police Department. These stations include portions of Annandale.

West Springfield District Station
 
Burglary
Cash was stolen from a home at 5:35 p.m. on May 30 on the 4500 block of Commons Drive in Annandale. There were no signs of forced entry in the home, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
 
Burglary
A small safe was stolen from a home at 3:45 p.m. on May 30 on the 9200 block of Davis Drive in Lorton, according to police.
 
Warrant Service
Officers responded to a fight in Annandale that started when cash and prescription medication were stolen, according to police. The incident took place at 1 p.m. on June 5 on the 4200 block of Americana Drive. Police said that when they arrived the victim was not cooperative. Officers found that the victim was wanted for unrelated charges and subsequently arrested.
 
Burglary
Cash was reported stolen from an Annandale home at 11:05 p.m. on June 5 from the 7900 block of John Adams Court. There were no signs of forced entry.

Franconia District Station
 
Narcotics
A 22-year-old Maryland man was charged with possession of narcotics. Officers were called to investigate a loud noise at a residence at 3:40 p.m. on May 31 on the 6800 block of Springfield Boulevard in Springfield. When police arrived, they found evidence of narcotics, according to police. The case is still under investigation with additional charges pending.
 
Burglary
A table was stolen from a business at 7 a.m. on May 31 on the 5500 block of Vine Street in Alexandria, according to police.
 
Pursuit
A vehicle accelerated away after an officer initiated a traffic stop, according to police. The incident took place at 8:35 p.m. on the intersection of Brookview Drive and Foldi Street in Rose Hill. The car eventually stopped on Brookview Drive. The driver, Tyree Ward, 26, of Alexandria, was charged with disregarding a stop light, driving on a suspended license, speed to elude, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Robbery
A 37-year-old Fairfax man reported being assaulted by two juveniles who took his phone, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. The robbery took place at 10 p.m. on June 3 on the 6000 block of Vista Drive in Fairfax. The victim reported minor injuries.
 
Hit and Run
Police responded to a report of an injured 31-year-old man at 4:30 p.m. on June 5 on the 6200 block of Little River Turnpike in Alexandria. He was found in a parking garage and was taken to a hospital to be treated for serious injuries. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
