Crime Report: Girl, 13, Robbed by Teens in Annandale

The latest incidents reported to the West Springfield, Franconia, and Mason District Stations of the Fairfax County Police Department. These stations include portions of Annandale.

West Springfield District Station
 
Robbery
Two teenagers brandished a knife at a 13-year-old girl and demanded cash, police said.
 
The incident took place at 12:20 p.m. on July 9 on the intersection of Allman Drive and McWhorter Place in Annandale. The girl was walking when the teenagers approached her. When the girl handed them cash, the teens fled. She was not injured in the incident.
 
Driving while intoxicated
A 25-year-old Fairfax Station man was charged with driving while intoxicated and obstruction of justice.
 
Fairfax County police were called to a report of a driver slumped over the steering wheel at 7:40 p.m. on July 5 on the intersection of Covered Bridge Road and Lee Chapel Road in Burke. Police said that the driver, Jared Jones, refused commands by police. He was arrested and charged.
 
Assault
A 21-year-old man was charged with stabbing a woman, according to police.
 
Officers were called at 5:45 p.m. on July 7 on the 8100 block of American Holly Road in Lorton. Police said that a 54-year-old woman had multiple cuts and was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
 
Jae Yoo, of Lorton, was charged with malicious wounding.

Mason District Station
 
Assault
A Maryland man was charged with being drunk in public, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault on a police officer.
 
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, at about 1:50 a.m. on July 2 on the 4200 block of Annandale Road in Annandale, authorities were called to an unknown situation. A man approached officers while they were conducting an interview and he did not obey commands to stay away, police said.
 
Ubaldo Lemus Lovo, 46, was intoxicated and resisted arrest, police said. He was arrested. 
 
Burglary
An employee reported that someone forced their way into a business at about 7:45 a.m. on July 3 on the 8500 block of Arlington Boulevard in Fairfax. Nothing was stolen, according to police.
 
Robbery
A 34-year-old man reported being robbed by five men, according to authorities. The victim said that the men assaulted him and took the cash on July 2 on the 4900 block of Manitoba Drive in Alexandria, police report.
 
Weapon
A 31-year-old man was home alone when he unintentionally fired his weapon, according to police. The incident took place at about 2:20 a.m. on July 4 on the 6300 block of Wingate Street in Alexandria. He was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm.
 
Robbery
A woman was able to thwart two teenagers who tried to steal her purse, police report.
 
The incident took place at 11:50 p.m. on July 7 on the 4900 block of Beauregard Street in Alexandria. The 55-year-old woman was approached by the boys, who grabbed her purse and tried to pull it away, police said. She was able to hold on to her purse and yell. The boys fled and she was not injured.

Peeping
A 23-year-old watching television spotted a man outside her window looking inside at 3:20 p.m. on July 3 on the 6000 block of Stoddard Court in Alexandria, police report.
 
Peeping
A 28-year-old woman watching television saw a man at her window looking inside at 10:55 p.m. on July 5 on the 7500 block of Woodside Lane in Lorton, police report.
 
Trespassing
A real estate inspector was checking on a residence and discovered evidence that someone had entered the home, police report. The incident was reported at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday on the 7200 block of Barry Road in Alexandria.
 
Trespassing
Five boys were charged with trespassing into a school. Police responded to an alarm at Lane Elementary School at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday on the 7100 block of Beulah Street. The boys, ages ranging 12 to 15, were found in and around the school, police said.
