Fairfax County Police Arrest Serial Peeper Suspect

Michael C. McCarter, of Woodbridge, was charged in connection to more than 200 peeping incidents in Fairfax County since 2011.

Fairfax County police have arrested a Woodbridge man they believe is linked to more than 200 peeping incidents in the Franconia, West Springfield and Sully District areas.

Michael C. McCarter, 40, was arrested and charged with peeping warrants on Oct. 25 after police received a tip from a Kingstowne-area resident.

The peeping incidents date back to 2011, with more than 200 cases reported in the Franconia District, and approximately 50 incidents reported in the West Springfield and Sully Districts, according to police.

Police believe McCarter, who works as a fuel delivery truck driver, picked random, lone women, ranging in ages 20-50-years-old, and watched them in their homes while he committed a sexual act.

Each of the peeping incidents took place between 1 and 4 a.m. at ground-level apartment windows.
