No Injuries in Fire Sunday at Home on Reserves Hill Court off Old Columbia Pike in Annandale

Two occupants at home called 911 after they smelled smoke and found the garage on fire.

A fire broke out Sunday afternoon in the garage of a home on Reserves Hill Court, a cul-de-sac development off of Old Columbia Pike in Annandale, across from Pinecrest Golf Course

Two occupants of the home smelled smoke and noticed the smoke detectors in the home did not go off, according to a Fairfax County Fire and Rescue spokesperson. They found the fire, in the home's garage, and called 911.

About 30 fire and rescue personnel arrived on scene and performed an aggressive fire attack and got the fire out in about 10 minutes. Fire and rescue have determined that the fire started due to an undetermined electrical issue.

Nearly two hours after the fire was first reported, the sound of a home's smoke detectors could still be heard Sunday as firefighters from Fairfax County Fire and Rescue finished their work putting out the fire.
